A graduate of New York Medical College, Dr. Freeman was Program Director of the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Program at NSUH-Manhasset. He served on the board of directors of the American Heart Association – Long Island Region, and is a clinical council member of the American Heart Association. Dr. Freeman is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology as well as the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. Dr. Freeman came to Mount Sinai South Nassau in 2006 as Director of Interventional Cardiology. Dr. Freeman is one of the few Interventional Cardiologists in NY to be awarded "Double Asterisk Status", the New York State Department of Health's highest rating in safety and efficacy for angioplasty. His experience in angioplasty is accompanied by an outstanding compassion for his patients. He heads a team of interventional cardiologists that has successfully performed thousands of coronary interventions and has more than 50 years combined experience.
