Aanal Shah has a strong cardiology nursing background for over 10 years. She graduated with her BSN from Fairleigh Dickinson University in May 2010 and thereafter obtained her MSN in Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner from New York University in May 2017. Aanal has been a part of Mount Sinai Health system since June 2013. She started her career at Mount Sinai Hospital as a Registered Nurse on a Heart Failure unit. She then transitioned into a Heart Failure Clinical Coordinator role where she worked very closely with the entire multidisciplinary team to reduce the heart failure readmission rates and deliver safe transitional care for these patients from a hospital setting into the community. After receiving her MSN, she started working as a Nurse Practitioner for the Structural Heart Program and currently is the Clinical Program Manager of the Mitral and Tricuspid division of the Structural Heart Program. She manages and coordinates the care of the patients with multi valvular heart disease. Today she is going to present on the latest updates of the Transcatheter edge-to-edge mitral valve repair procedure.
